Twelve Channel ECG

Electrocardiogram is the abbreviation of ECG that is also known as EKG by many people. Basically, ECG is a test that checks all the problems that are related to the heart. They are usually tested with some kind of electrical activity. This makes the procedure of ECG successful. Different kind of channels is used for the process of ECG. It all depends on the condition of the patients that what kind of machine and with how many channels is required for the ECG of the patient. ECG is one of the simplest and painless test for the heart problems that records all the electrical activities of the heart with the help of a machine with one or more channels efficiently. During the procedure of ECG, an electric signal is spread usually from the top to the bottom of the heart with each and every heartbeat. When these electrical signals spread from the top of the heart to the bottom, all these signals together help the heart in contracting and pumping the blood and this process is repeated with the every new heartbeat.

Most of the times, the twelve channel ECG is required for testing the heart problems of the patients. It always depends on the cardio conditions of the patients that what how many channels are required for their ECG. If all the problems of the heart need to be checked with the help of the electrocardiographs, then the twelve channel ECG is always recommended. There are many advantages of the twelve channel ECG. There are twelve channel ECG machines available in the markets as well, so that the people can do the ECG easily at their homes with the help of these twelve channel ECG machines. Most of the twelve channel ECG machines have the following features:

• 12 LED simultaneous acquisition.

• Detection and alarm as well on lead off and low battery.

• Built in ECG stimulator for the purpose of DEMO.

• Unique 6 CH+P Printing mode, very convenient for the physical examination and the printing report on the A4 paper.

Three Channel ECG

ECG is also known as EKG and it is an abbreviation of Electrocardiogram that is basically a test that checks for all the problems that are related to the heart with some kind of electrical activity. There is different kind of electrical activities introduced for the process of ECG. It all depends on the cardiologist that what kind of electrical machine he uses for the process of ECG. Different ECG machines are required for different patients depending on their conditions. ECG is a very simple and painless test that records the electrical activities of the heart of the patients very efficiently. In the process of ECG, with every heartbeat, an electrical signal is spread from the top of the heart to its bottom. When it travels from the top to the bottom, these signals causes the heart to contract and pump the blood and this process keeps on going with every new heartbeat.

Different ECG channels are used by different cardiologists, depending on the cardio conditions of the patients. Most of the times three channel ECG is used for the cardio patients as it has many advantages. There are many machines available in the market that helps in performing the task of the ECG or EKG. Some of the features of these three channel ECG machines are:

• They are compact in size and very easy to use.

• Used for direct operation.

• Portable.

• 12 leads simultaneous waveforms display.

Six Channel ECG

An electrocardiogram is utilized for the purpose of monitoring the heart and its beat. Each and every heart beat can be brought on by means of impulse which is electrical commonly produced by unique tissues from the upper chamber of your heart. An electrocardiogram is also known as ECG or EKG. Its objective is typically to record these kinds of electrical signs as they pass through your heart. Your personal doctor may utilize an electrocardiogram to find patterns in the midst of the heartbeats in addition to tempos to detect different heart circumstances.

Electrocardiographs diagnose this electric impulses linked with the activity of the heart in addition to generate an ECG, the graphical record of the time versus voltage. They are utilized to spot in addition to help out with the treatment of some varieties of heart problems and arrhythmias. In addition they ascertain the patient’s a reaction to the therapy of drugs, also it helps reveal developments as well as improvements in the function of the heart.

Multichannel electrocardiographs record impulses by several leads at the same time and are frequently used rather than single-channel units. A number of electrocardiographs are capable of doing automated dimension in addition to elucidation.

Single Channel ECG

Electrocardiographs are used for the detection of the electrical signals that are associated with the cardiac activities and for the production of ECG or Electrocardiograms. ECG is basically a graphic record of all the voltage versus the time. ECG or EKG is used for the detection, diagnosis and assisting in the treatment of some types of the heart diseases and also for the arrhythmias for the determination of the patient’s response to the drug therapy and for revealing all the trends and the changes in the functions of the heart. Different kind of ECG channels has been in use by different physicians, but most of them have been using the single channel ECG for getting the accurate results of the hearts. The single channel ECG have been recording the heart signals from only one lead that makes it really very easy for the doctors to detect what kind of heart problem the patient is actually suffering from.

Some of these single channel ECG can also perform the automatic functioning, measurement and interpretation of the ECG as one of the most selectable and optional feature. This has been a great help for all the cardiologists working with the single channel ECG. The single channel ECG consists of the ECG units, cables and the electrodes. These single channel ECG have got the following features usually:

• A 12 lead system including three different types of leads that are bipolar, unipolar and precordial.

• The 12 leads presenting different kind of perspectives of the electrical activities of the heart.

• Produces ECG waveforms in which all the P waves, T waves and QRS complex vary in the amplitude and polarity.

Definition of Blood Vessel Inflammation

The medical term for blood vessel inflammation is vasculitis or angiitis. Inflammation of veins is called venulitis and inflammation of arteries is called arteritis. Vasculitis is the term used for a group of diseases that cause blood vessels inflammation.

Features

In vasculitis, the inflammation of blood vessels causes them to become thicker. This makes it harder for the blood to move through them, and the supply of oxygen to the tissues is hindered. In extreme cases, the condition can result in blot clots and aneurysms.

Types

There are many different diseases that feature vasculitis, but affect different blood vessels and organs. Examples include: Behcet's disease, Churg-Strauss syndrome, cryoglobulinemia, Kawasaki disease, Takayasu's arteritis and Henoch-Schönlein purpura.

Fetal Monitoring System

Childbirth is a complex series of mechanism by which a foetus is brought to the outside world. During gestation mother goes by a number of physiological changes that aids in maintaining her pregnant status. The journey that starts from developing embryo leads to delivery of the foetus. The whole pregnancy period is of 37 weeks. During this gestational period a mother has to go through regular visits to her gynaecologist, in those visits the mother undergoes a series of blood test and ultrasound screening to detect the foetal status. There are certain invasive tests performed to detect foetal abnormality. Preserving foetus and maintaining a non hostile environment inside a mother’s womb is necessary to maintain an effective foetus status.

There are foetal monitors developed to keep a check system on foetus development. There are two types of monitoring systems, external monitoring devices and invasive monitory devices.
External monitors include DOPTONE. Doptone is a Doppler foetal heart rate monitor .It detects the heart rate of a foetus growing inside of a pregnant woman. A foetal stethoscope can also be used for similar purpose but by stethoscope only the examiner can hear the heart beat. In early stages the foetus heart beat corresponds with the mother heart beat however by the end of ninth month the foetal heart beats 155 beats per minute.

The Doppler has a transducer that converts the heart beat of foetus into electric signals that can be heard by examiner and even the mother. Another external monitor used in obstetrics is cardiotocography. It records the mothers’ uterine contractions with the foetal heart beat.

Patient Monitor

In the hospital practice, Patient monitors have provided great use to doctors to keep an account of patient’s health status. Tracking the well being position of a patient is important for medical personnel. Different monitors like ECG MACHINES, EEG MONITOR, B.P APPARATUS, PULSE OXIMETER and GLUCOMETER are widely used in hospital system.

ECG machines measures the conductivity of a patient’s heart. Electrocardiography i.e. ECG is a graphical presentation of working of a normal heart. It denotes the normal breathing rhythm of the heart and detects abnormality by creating abnormal notches and flat curves in the reading. Patients visiting a hospital for cardiac issues have different wave pattern. By ECG we can diagnose heart valve issues and comes to a conclusion for slow and fast heart rhythms.

EEG stands for electroencephalography is basically a recording of human brain activity and the EEG machine measures the voltage and current generated by a normal brain. EEG consists of multiple thin electrodes that are attached to a human scalp. This device is used to diagnose diseases like epilepsy, brain pathologies, coma and brain death. Tumours and stroke cases are detected through EEG.

B.P Apparatus is a device to monitor ones blood pressure. From B.P Apparatus you can detect heart contractility and relaxibility. It also measures you pulse pressure. There are two readings recoded through this apparatus, systolic reading that determines the pressure heart generates to pump blood through the body.
